Burning Man Organizers Fight Back Against Scalpers

With the demand for tickets to Burning Man increasing every year, scalpers have definitely gotten wind. Tickets for this year’s festival are currently going for more than double their face value on websites like Ebay and StubHub. But organizers of Burning Man encourage burners to “heed the culture’s decommodification ethos and refuse to pay more than face value for tickets.” An article published in the San Francisco Bay Guardian lists measures that are being taken to counteract the sale of tickets for profit.
