The real cost of tape, or anything else you order online, is the “delivered” cost. That is the cost of the item plus the cost of shipping.

It appears that some tape vendors might just be using weights for a roll of six inch bi-filament that is more than twice the actual product weight.

If a vendor can get you to pay for shipping based on an inaccurate weight and then ship the product at the actual weight, they can pocket the difference as an “invisible” profit.

A roll of 6 IN x 60 YD bi-filament tape weighs 2.5 lbs. Anyone who posts this product at a higher weight “has their thumb on the scales”.
