Beware The 5 Inch Roll!

ruler for measuring hexayurt tape

We recently came across a hexayurt tape vendor who is selling a five inch wide roll of bi-filament tape instead of the standard six inch width. This was not something obvious, and we had to drill deep to find the actual width of this product.

If you purchase a five inch wide roll instead of a six inch roll, you are getting 20% less tape, and with it, 20% less holding power.

While there is nothing wrong with selling tape in a non-standard width, there is something wrong with not being upfront about the width of your product.

Before you buy, be sure you know what you are getting. A lower price for less tape is not the same as a lower price for the same size roll available from most other suppliers.
